Raul Julia: The Santa We Deserve

 Dear Fiends,

So I'm a few days late on this one. I was so busy helping the elves make creepy and kooky toys for the goth kids that I got behind on this podcast. But, as a self appointed Addams Family Creepy and Kooky Expert, of course I had to say yes when they asked for me to help out!

For Christmas, we wanted to give you kooky kids something special as well. This is a topic JohnPaul and I have long wanted to cover, and we were always kind of waiting for the right tie in to make it work. This fell into our lap like the way Ken and Ryu can't help but make bad decisions. So here we are, the Great Raul Julia, as M. Bison, in the tremendous cult classic that deserves many awards for awesomeness- STREET FIGHTER. Because if anyone can pull off evil Santa and still makes us love him, it is truly Raul Julia, the one and only.

This episode was meant to be a fun one off that we assumed would be a pretty campy and short bonus episode. And, while it has our usual shenanigans, it also has some heart. I am always a little more proud when we start with nonsense and end up pouring our deep thoughts and explorations. I hope you like this one. I personally think Part 2 is the more serious and meaty of the two, so please enjoy the reindeer games while you can. Regardless, I hope you enjoy both parts of course! 

I hope that if you celebrate the holidays, that it was whatever you needed it to be. And if unfortunately it wasn't, you aren't alone. We, perpetually melancholy babes do empathize. Take a rain check and celebrate with us hooligans the blessed day of our Lord Bison's Pax Bisonica. Any day can be special if you decide it is, and we decided that any day hanging out with you is extra special.

 Dear Fiends, This entry isn't for the faint of heart. It's going to be sad, a little bit frightening, and maybe anxiety inducing for some. There is also the content warning of death of a loved one. Going Color! 🤯

 Dear Fiends, We're going electric and full color!  Eventually. Here's the deal. JohnPaul and I have been recording with video for awhile to get comfortable on camera, and last week we recorded with the intention to post video for the first time. The session went really well, but unfortunately it may be next week or after until I get a full handle of editing video successfully. I know I could just throw what we have on YouTube and call it a day, but that's not how I work. I care about what I create and want it to be my best try for that time. So I hope you continue to stick around, and be patient until our big reveal in the next couple weeks. The reveal is that we aren't special, LOL, but at least you can see my wild hand gesturing like JohnPaul mentions.  The new podcast episode will still be up late tonight or tomorrow during the day.   Hello my dearest fiends. I wanted to sit by the hearth with you and have a nice heart to heart. (rips out my heart TEMPLE OF DOOM style) Here you go. Now you! I'm kidding! Though I do love some good theatrics. Theatrics is part of why I love the original Addams Family TV series so much. There is so much passion and vibrancy radiating through that family. Whether it's Gomez throwing himself head first (literally with the Zen Yogi) into his interests, or Wednesday punching a misogynist, rotten, little boy, this family follows through with zest on what they love and believe in.
